Saoncy Neville, High Five Teacher

Hello.  I am Saoncy Neville and I teach High Five.  I started teaching at Waite Park in 2009 and I love it!

I graduated from St. Cloud St. University in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2007 I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education (ages 3-5) from Concordia University. During the years of 2003-2009 I was a reserve teacher in Minneapolis. I taught a variety of ages, from birth to 8th grade.  Teaching High Five is my is my dream job!  Scroll to the bottom to view our photo gallery.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, playing fetch with my cat, baking, and working on crafts. The crafts I enjoy are coloring, sewing, card making/gift wrapping, and embroidery. I like listening to audio books in the car and going thrift shopping with my mom too! I live with my husband, Joshua, in Minneapolis and we have been married for 14 years. We have two cats named Cleo and Jett. As well as one long-haired mini dachshund named Zeke. He is 12 years old now and refuses to go for a walk two times a day...so funny, he just doesn't move! We have another dog named Roosevelt that moved in with us in September of 2016. Spring of 2016 I became allergic to dairy products so I'm learning to navigate that as well.

Kenza Sahir is the Associate Educator in our room. She spent two years in Reading Corps at Lyndale after graduating from Luther with a Biology degree. She plays Ultimate Frisbee during the summer and moonlights at Gap.
